Ulu Fruit

The Ulu, or Breadfruit, is a mainstay in the Polynesian diet.  This majestic tree related to the mulberry family yields ovoid and roughly-textured fruit which, when fried, boiled, roasted, or baked, result in a fruity flavored starchy sustenance much like the potato in other cultures.
