Lotus #7
In Chinese Literature, a lotus is often depicted as a lantern carried by a Taoist fairy or deity. I had always thought it was a poetic metaphor to emphasize the purity of both the flower and the lantern bearer. But, having experienced a lotus with just the right amount of sun illuminating it at just the right angle, it does indeed shine like a lantern!
